Registering a Smart Device
Register a smart device for a tenant user.
The user should obtain the necessary user account information for authentication from the administrator.
To use a smart device, the smart device must have RICOH Smart Device Connector installed in it.
In the RICOH Smart Device Connector settings, enable logging into the multifunction printer/copier. For information about how to configure RICOH Smart Device Connector, see the related instructions.
On the smart device, turn Bluetooth on. For information about how to configure the smart device, see the related instructions.
If you are logged into the device, log out of the device.
When the specified authentication type is "user ID"
On the smart device, open RICOH Smart Device Connector, touch [Login to MFP], and then touch [Next].
Hold the unregistered smart device over the control panel.

Press [Registration].
Enter the user's user ID and password, and then press [Registration].
The smart device-specific number is registered as part of the user information.
Press [Confirm].
When the specified authentication type is "EMail address"
On the smart device, open RICOH Smart Device Connector, touch [Login to MFP], and then touch [Next].
Hold the unregistered smart device over the control panel.

Press [Registration].
Enter the user's email address and password, and then press [Registration].
The smart device-specific number is registered as part of the user information.
Press [Confirm].
When the specified authentication type is "User select"
On the smart device, open RICOH Smart Device Connector, touch [Login to MFP], and then touch [Next].
Hold the unregistered smart device over the control panel.

Press [Registration].
Press the appropriate user name from the user list.
Enter the password, and then press [Registration].
The smart device-specific number is registered as part of the user information.
Press [Confirm].
When the specified authentication type is "PIN code"
On the smart device, open RICOH Smart Device Connector, touch [Login to MFP], and then touch [Next].
Hold the unregistered smart device over the control panel.

Press [Registration].
Enter the PIN code, and then press [Registration].
The smart device-specific number is registered as part of the user information.
Press [Confirm].
When the specified authentication type is "External Service Coordination"
On the smart device, open RICOH Smart Device Connector, touch [Login to MFP], and then touch [Next].
Hold the unregistered smart device over the control panel.

Press [Registration].
Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your Microsoft 365 account information.
The smart device-specific number is registered as part of the user information.
[Press Confirm].
If the multifunction printer/copier is offline, log in as a guest user. For more information, see Logging in via Emergency Mode.
Only one smart device can be registered per user. If a different smart device is registered, the existing smart device information is overwritten. See Changing a Registered Smart Device.
Changing a Registered Smart Device
To change a registered smart device, follow the steps below to register the unregistered smart device.
On the smart device, open RICOH Smart Device Connector, touch [Login to MFP], and then touch [Next].
Hold the unregistered smart device over the control panel.

Press [Registration].
Enter the registered user's email address and password, and then click [Registration].
Press [Overwrite].
The smart device-specific number is registered as part of the user information.
Press [Confirm].
Unregistering a Smart Device
Log into General Setting Management as the tenant administrator.
Turn Admin Mode on.
Click [User Management].
On the "Edit User" screen, delete the IC card number from the Multifunction Printer/Copier of Device Account Link Settings.
Click [Save].
