Using AD/LDAP Authentication

To use AD (Active Directory) or LDAP authentication for user authentication, configure the appropriate settings for the authentication type.

If the settings for AD/LDAP authentication have been configured, authentication to the AD/LDAP server is performed for every login from a multifunction printer, and user information from the AD/LDAP server is saved in the address book for the printer.

The AD/LDAP authentication settings configured in the steps below are enabled when an authentication app is started from the operation panel of the multifunction printer after the configuration. If an authentication app is already running, log out and then restart the app to enable it.
